Charity Fund Boost

Members of the Burton branch of an international women's organisation turned out in force for a fund-raising day in aid of a national chairyt
Burton Soroptimists lail on old English games including pin ball, bar skittles and archery at the Rosliston Forestry Centre on Sunday to raise funds for The Lymphoma Association. Other attractions including go karting, cartoonish Jim Sutton, South Derbyshire and Ashby Woulds Amateur Radio Group and craft stalls.
The Lymphoma Association helps people who have Hodgkin's Disease and the non Hodgkin's Lymphomas which are cancers of the lymphatic system.
It provides information and emotional support to anyone with the disease and their families, carers and friends.
Soroptimist International is a worldwide women's organisation which workds towards the advancement of human rights and the status of women.
Education officer at Rosliston Forestry Centre Kate Allies said: "The fund-raising day was a success. We had an excellent turnout and the weather was lovely."
