G0SRC - Moira Furnace - Ashby Canal SDAWARG (South Derbyshire and Ashby Woulds ARG) took part in BiWota from the historic Moira Furnace in Leicestershire. Plenry of Inter-G contacts were made, including seven BiWota stations with some contacts from overseas too, - GI4RKC from Lisburn Ireland; PB5X from the Netherlands; W2QF from Maine; K9MBQ from CHarlottesville, all on 20m, later. All-in-all 53 contacts plus fivewho were on canals or near rivers but not registered for BiWota. Mark (2E0MGA), Phil (M7EIN) and Bob (G7JHW) were a great team: supporting each other; opearating, erecting aerials and setting up/taking down the base campe in wind and rain. Paul (M7MAW), was very supportive assising in taking down the station. Other members who came along to offer support were Gary, Fiona and Nathan (M0NXD). At the furnace on Sunday was a car show which attracted many people, many visitors came over to basecampe. Producing the possibility of a couple of new club members.
