Fancy dress, black tie, too much food and “truly terrible” questions can only mean the annual Christmas fuddle and quiz night hosted by South Derbyshire & Ashby Woulds ARG.
As always, the event was well attended. Club chairman Richard Harlow, G5RJH asked the quiz questions and The Co-Ax Crew comprising Jim, G1JMT; Paul, M1TRX; and Nathan, M0NXD emerged as the winning team. The prize for best fancy dress went to Dave Fletcher, M7JIG’s Mario costume (pictured) from the Super Mario computer game by Nintendo.
“It was an absolutely great evening and a big thank you goes to everyone who attended, helped organise the night and supported the club throughout the year,” says Richard.
He also congratulated club members who have taken and passed their Foundation, Intermediate, Full and Direct to Full examinations — “an excellent achievement all round.”
